THE PIPELINE

Women of Color in the Arts (WOCA) introduces The Pipeline, a members-only resource that connects WOCA members with potential career opportunities across our network. Among WOCA's core values are the belief that more women of color in decision-making roles only strengthen the field, as does, the activation and utilization of our collective resources. The Pipeline is WOCA's newest initiative in support of these core values, and we invite all members, supporters, and accomplices to contribute to this new platform and the development of WOCA.

WOCA members work with and lead all types of cultural institutions and arts organizations including, but not limited to:

  • performing arts and cultural centers

  • music, dance, and theater companies

  • festivals

  • foundations

  • service organizations

  • museums

  • artist management firms and booking agencies

  • universities

  • community centers

  • state, local, and national arts agencies

And, among many other roles, our membership is comprised of established and emerging cultural leaders serving as:

  • executive and artistic directors

  • curators and producers

  • consultants

  • fundraisers and development officers

  • grantmakers

  • arts advocates

  • educators

  • managers and agents

  • marketers and publicists

  • entrepreneurs

If you have a career opportunity that you believe would be a good fit for WOCA members, you can submit the posting HERE via our Submittable platform. Our members represent a wide range of career levels and experiences, so we welcome opportunities that fit all stages of career development. The nominal processing fee allocated for postings allows WOCA to build from the inside out - creating a pipeline for our self-sustainability and creating a pathway for a robust solidarity economy

Each Monday, WOCA distributes a weekly listing of all opportunities submitted via our Submittable platform exclusively to our 500+ community of members. And in an effort to help push our field towards more equitable practices, you should know that each opportunity will be carefully vetted to meet our expectations of salary transparency.

WOCA also gives special spotlight to opportunities from organizations and institutions which are led and/or endorsed by our WOCA members. We encourage our community of members, supporters, and accomplices to share this platform widely with those looking to promote new opportunities. And we encourage our community to invite women of color arts leaders to join our WOCA community. WOCA is building more than a network; we're building a movement.

*One of WOCA’s core philosophies is centered upon the premise that all women are leaders—no matter their station, title or position.
